What’s the Buzz? Tell me what’s a happenin’?

I think you may be wondering what’s going on here. It has been a long time since I communicated with you through these pages. Well, here is an update:

In January new things happen for me, no particular reason its just because it is the beginning of a chapter in our lives on a global scale. On that note you know sometimes every day is a new beginning - but that’s another topic. So here I am really tired of the old web design, which was more an experiment. I had learnt a lot and it was time to move on to a better looking website, a family friend visiting us introduced me to Open Source Web Design and asked whether I had ever thought of taking a look around. I was intrigued and poked around and what you see in front of you a result of my investigations. Building the website with the lack of technical expertise has been quite a challenge, however, seeing you response has made it a very sweet learning process for me. Since January the website has averaged 20,000 hits and 1,600 unique visits a month. So, yes, I have been busy updating the content on the website, discovering that the layout does not work and then changing it around again and again ….

The increase in the number of visitors to the website has infact made me think about why am I doing this? You may remember my post from a couple of months ago encouraging you to ask the question ‘Why?’. I have been doing a bit of introspection on the question, I will be putting my thoughts together for you to see as well. Pursuing the question ‘why?’ will definitely help me focus on what it is that I want to convey through this website. As I surf the web I can see many other christian websites providing music, links to other resources etc. etc. - so what is it that makes masihivandana.com unique? I think its a worthy question and if you happen to have an opinion do email me. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy - infact very happy and this is a perfect opportunity to grow in the right direction. Asking the ‘Why?’ question when everything is going well is the right time.

Another problem I want to solve is for you to have a place to comment and offer your opinions. Once again it goes back to my lack of technical expertise and my stubbornness to let go of control over the website. I want to know everything that a web developer would know - at some point I will have to let go, I am not ready right now. I do think I may be closer to a solution than ever before.

So there is a lot of excitement and lots to look forward to. Thank You for your visits, thank you for encouraging me. I pray that you will encounter Jesus Christ, the one who can change your life.
