‘Mera Prabhu Mere Saath Hai’
This is perhaps my first song in Hindi. I had written the chorus of this song a long time ago. I never got any further than that, then finally in 2004 I was able to add the verses and complete the whole song. I used to be playing just the chorus whenever I had a guitar in hand all through my teenage years, so everyone in my family was familiar with the tune. They did not know that it was mine and they never really heard beyond the chorus. So when I had completed the song I played it to my sister and she said ‘You know what? I think I have heard the tune somewhere” - funny.
